LICHFIELD DRY GIN
Fifth Spire Gin is a fine spirit made by Lichfield duo, and best friends, Rory and Tom, who together formed Greywood Distillery. With their engineering backgrounds and shared love of good spirits they set out to construct one of the UK’s smallest micro-distilleries and methodically create a gin to be proud of.
The gin is constructed in two parts using twin copper stills. One is loaded with the main botanical bill, including juniper berries, coriander seed, cassia bark, angelica root, orris root, liquorice root, pink peppercorns, almonds, and Seville orange peel. The other is only used for fresh citrus fruits including lemons, limes and grapefruit. The result is a luxuriously smooth spirit with a classic gin taste riding on a big wave of fresh citrus. Can be enjoyed with a large wedge of pink grapefruit for garnish, but if you can get your hands on it, dried bitter orange peel is a must try.
